After Read One Of Cak Nun's Book

I’ve been read a book from Emha Ainun Nadjib, the title is “Pemimpin Yang Tuhan” A leader who is like a god, Emha usually called as Cak Nun is one of the famous grandfather’s father who is often called ’mbah’or ‘Oppa’ or Granpha by his follower,  with high intellectual and scientific knowledge, often holds “Maiyah” ( means gather together for praying and talk about Islam, Country, the problem of government, or anything from night till the Fajr ) . He has written books since 1987, it means 30-40 years later He dedicated himself to enlighten others throug writing and how he conveyed his knowledge through “ Maiyah “ just like seminar, indeed.

Maybe some people think that, if we read a book, then we are one of his --- followers or fanatic about him or whatever you called it, in Indonesia, there are people that still have one point of view like that, somehow it is annoying. I don’t care about it anyway, you can exit this page, if you think i am a radical or liberal, and you are not in my way, get out.


In the book that i have been read, there are many lessons that i get, but i can not explain it one by one. The first thing i should tell you about this book, you can love Indonesia sincerely. Why do we have to worry about Indonesia, which is said to be left behind 200 years more in education than other countries? ( Kenapa kita harus khawatir, jika Indonesia tertinggal 200 tahun pendidikannya dibanding dengan negara lain ? ) Why should we worry if we are still prosperous and happy? Safe and secure Indonesia?


Shouldn’t we be more concerned with Indonesia being increasingly not Indonesia? ( Bukankah harusnya kita lebih khawatir dengan Indonesia yang semakin tidak Indonesia ? Competing to create tall buildings and achieving great achievment with big profit but Indonesia no longer owned by Indonesia? Our sense of humanity is left behind and increasingly there is no humanity ?

‘’Kemanusiaan yang adil dan beradab” in Pancasila second statement states that humanity is fair and civilized. Nowadays, people forget and ignore the heart of this country “ Pancasila” whoever have more money and power, they will control the weak and the poor.

Indonesia is Big and Awesome but it dwarfs itself. ( Indonesia itu besar dan dahsyat tapi mengkerdilkan diri sendiri ) . Everything feels difficult to distinguish which is right, because the right can be wrong, the wrong can be true and the strong is said to be weak, the strong guilty justified is rightly blamed.

And the conclusion is not enough in one short articel like this, theres more about tolerance, the problem of the life, the worst of the government, can open your mind, and that’s just how the way we face the words cause they are sarcastic.
In a very chaotic era, now we need people who want to enlighten us with their experiences and views like Mbah Nun, we have to learn a lot and open up—some uestions to guide a life we living.

Maybe tomorrow i will make letter for Mbah Nun, in Bahasa. I will ask more and I knoww if he would answer, he will give me tripple question from what I ask, he never answer, he will give qquestions back.
